This unique photo was taken on the 1.1.2001  by Martin Rietze (Eichenau, Germany) on his journey through Ecuador. The viewpoint was the Hacienda Manteles,15 km NE direction from the Vulcano . The image shows a gas eruption of the still not quiet Tungurahua by sunset.
